WHO Bottle
A deliberate Analyze-before-Save workflow for the WHO bottle bioassay, with preserved saved results and assay-session environmental recording.
Available- Insecticide-coated bottle
- Solvent-control bottle
Conceptual illustration: adult mosquitoes in coated glass bottles closed with screw caps. It is not a technical drawing of WHO equipment.
About the method
The WHO bottle bioassay is a direct response-to-exposure test for adult mosquitoes. It is a distinct WHO procedure and is handled separately from the CDC bottle bioassay.
VectorBio evaluates the registered control-mortality conditions for WHO Bottle, applies the registered correction pathway where required and records the assay-session temperature and relative-humidity ranges as provenance.
How it works in VectorBio
Set the context
Optionally link a sample or colony/strain. The taxon, active ingredient and diagnostic concentration come from the method’s registered configuration.
Enter observations
Record control and treatment observations and the assay-session conditions.
Analyze
Analyze computes the current result without saving anything.
Review
Check the QC state, correction and interpretation before deciding to save.
Save
Save stores an immutable record that you can reopen, review and export.
What the result shows
- Quality-control state of the test
- Whether the registered correction pathway was applied
- Mortality used for interpretation
- Interpretation when QC permits it
- Recorded temperature and relative-humidity ranges
Scope
- WHO Bottle is not treated as the CDC bottle bioassay; CDC diagnostic-dose rules are not applied.
- Rules for WHO Bottle are registered for this method only and are not inherited from WHO Tube.
What a saved result looks like
The structure of a saved result in the VectorBio application. Field names are taken from the released interface; values appear only in your own Workspace.
